Lululemon Opened Up Shop-In-Shop At Harrods

Lululemon opened up it's first department store shop-in-shop this month at the UK department store Harrods. The Lululemon concession joins Sweaty Betty which came in several months ago.  There are no official plans to open up any more concessions but I heard rumours last year (from investors) that Lululemon was making plans to have a concession store inside some Nordstrom locations.

  1. Interesting and if they place themself in Nordstrom, it will not surprise me. It will make the LLL more accessible and the shopping experience less intimidating (words of my friends and colleagues, not me; I'm not "intimidated" at all going into LLL). Those who wouldn't venture into LLL will be fine in a Nordstrom. They are about to lose market share in Toronto with the opening of Nordstrom just over a month away. The ladies love new options and Nordstrom has much to offer. Never mind that the sales will be a big draw as well (thanks for keeping us informed in that regard, LLM).

  2. This makes no sense. First, it would be a huge shift in strategy. As far as I understand, they've taken great pride in owning every piece of the consumer experience by having a vertically integrated business. It's a branding and control thing. Second, Nordstrom has their own in-house competitive line, Zella. I mean, who knows with this brand anymore. I guess we'll see

  4. Nordstrom with their legondary customer service...LLL may have to revise a few policies or there is gonna be a disconnect....when my LLL remodeled last spring their temporary location was right next to Nordstrom. I loved it...a little to convenient for my DH's liking.

  5. I'd much rather shop LLL in a Nordstrom where the employees are actually nice people than visit a LLL store.
