by Cristina

Store photos are thanks to Ms. R who is in Vancouver. I stopped in at my store and only saw the Sweet Savasana Pullover.

Ugh. More Bordeaux drama. I loved the colour for a long time but now I cringe. A girl can only have so many maroon items.

Just adding to my initial impressions, what's with the prices? That's a wrap is $128 with far less design detail and features than the gratitude wrap. Savasana wrap is the most similar and that was $118 I think? $158 for the dress? Wasn't the here to there dress $128-ish? And what's with the designs? That Sweet Savasana sweater is so generic looking. Nothing about it screams Lulu to me. A lot of their designs lately I find very bland and not very special looking. It's so un-Lulu like.

What's your point? Prices in CAD and USD have always been the same.

I would probably buy that's a wrap if it came in solid black or a color other than Bordeaux, grey, heathered black or navy. Some moron definitely ordered too much Bordeaux fleece.

Hi Cristina, thank you for all your hard work that you put into this blog :). Just wondering if you ended up keeping your Toasty Tech Tights II and if so have they kept their shape ok, or have they stretched out? I love the look of these and am in need of a warmer running tight, but am a little hesitant based on many of the reviews stating that they tend to stretch and bag out when purchased tts. Thanks for your help 🙂

I just wanted to add that I sized down in them. In my regular size 6, they wouldn't stay up when I tried them on… so I can imagine what would have happened after I wore them.

Thank you so much LLM and Anon@2:22, I'm hoping to try the toasty techs on in store over the holidays, if they have any left, Cheers 🙂

I love my black grape toasty techs. I wear them a lot and don't find that they get baggy. I got them in my tts and they are great!

Hi! Thank you!!
I did keep the Toasty Tech Tight II's in Black Grape and have worn them. I do think they stretched out slightly but didn't loose shape or bag out if that makes sense. I was surprised that the material relaxes in a way that regular luon does not. I've worn them to watch soccer but haven't worn them for running so I can't give you an extensive review anytime soon on how they hold up with its intended function.

Is the Hustle in your bustle as flattering on as the Define jacket? Has any of you ladies tried it on?

Anyone know price? Wasn't there an inkwell version too?

Btw – the new shoppers are cute. Black with red trim or Paper brown with trimmings and all with a short handle.

I find the short handles quite useless. Was really excited to see a nice big back in my recent order, but was bummed that it had short handles.

Totally agree the short handles really limit the usefulness of the bag. I got one of the paper looking ones in recent order and wishes it had regular handles.

The short handles really bother me. I like the bags fine enough but hate the short handles.

Hi Lulumum! Besides the fit & wear of the Toasty Tech 2 tights for you; how are the Base Runners this year? I am so concerned with the multiple reviews commenting on massive piling on these winter staples and waistband rolling with the Base Runners.
Anyone else with experience of these winter pants released this year? TIA~ Thanks for keeping us all up-to-date with everything….you are so resourceful, helpful, and insightful!

My black ones arrived with a twisted waistband and I am really hesitant to keep them now. It seems like it will keep twisting and won't stay flat which causes weird lumps under certain shirts

I am loving the Base Runners and have worn my black ones from this year a ton. I don't have previous years base runners so I can't compare but so far I haven't had rolling waist and the only place I have pilling is between the thighs which is normal wear for me. I would be very upset if they pilled for me throughout instead of just the high friction area. I am loving the striped ones, the black and the black grape. I found those three to be the softest with the stripes being the most soft.

Lulumum, just wanted to thank you for turning me on the to Mind and Body kit – I just received my millie mesh embossed one and it's GORGEOUS! I love the printed berry interior.

OMG isn't it the greatest? It's the best thing ever if you are into makeup. I think it's such a great gift for the traveler or makeup lover in your life.

So what's the difference between the Sweet Savasana and every other pullover they've put out recently?

Reply
Anonymous December 15, 2015 - 1:03 am

The
Sweet Savasana pullover is made of Boolux vs, the other pullover which are made of French Terry. In my experience, Boolux easily snags & pills from normal to little wear….so an easy pass for me. This is despite Boolux being so soft comfortable. I know some have a better experience Boolux than me.
I rather spend the $ on a cashmere sweater elsewhere.

Thank you Lulumum & Anon 2:22 & 4:38 & all of you regarding the Base Runner II's..there was a time I would plop $100 or over for Lulu's pants…now I hesitate more & more esp with wavering reviews & wavering return policies (I find it depends on the mood of the GEC or the particular store manager). I rarely damage an item and really dislike to damage anything ( a snagged swiftly, for instance)..not worth the hassle.
Has anyone tried the new version of the Hustle jacket? Is the length like the Define? I am concerned that it may be too short and I may wind up looking like a dancing hippo from Fantasia ( excuse my pathetic analogy). I also like the fabric choices of the textured Hustles, but dislike the contrasting seams. TIA !

The reflective details on that dress is going to look very strange in photos that use flash!

I'm disappointed. Everything for this (holiday) season seems 'meh'. No must haves, nothing really 'new'. More for me to spend elsewhere I guess.
