New Store! Lulumum Is On Shopify

by Cristina

I opened up a new store for my pre loved lululemon items (and whatnots) and I’m still working out the glitches but I’d love it if you could check it out here lulumumblogger.myshopify.com. I decided to try this out vs. using ebay or the other various selling groups because I love that I can be a little bit creative and use a blog format to sell that is outside of my actual blog, and it has a lot of great functions such as a secure payment process via credit card, shopping cart and item variables. Also, I love that I can participate in the Pinterest buy it button program and shoppers can download an ap for iphones.

I’m going to populate my store over the next few days but I did ad a few items in in the meantime so that you can see how all the functions work. Let me know what you think! Have you used this platform to purchase goodies before?

Hey lulumum! This is a great idea. I'm just wondering, what are the selling fees comparative to eBay + PayPal using this platform?

No final value fee. You pay $25/month for the basic platform which is what I have and you get a two week free trial and then a 2.9% + .30 credit card fees. You manage the store end of things so your items can stay up as long as you like and you get SEO on your listings. I've done two sales so far and I'm liking it.

I've paid more to eBay in final value fees on months I've sold 2-3 items.

You are so welcome!! I'm excited to see how this does because I think it would be a great thing for the community to try out. Imagine having a listings of a bunch of different lulu stores listed on a blog page! I'd love to eventually have a feature like that on my blog.

I forgot to mention the feature that most enticed me about Shopify. Pinterest just launched the new 'buy it' button feature which is exclusive to shopify stores. So you can have an entire board on pinterest of your items for sale and people can pin and share, or buy right off that page. So cool! http://blog.hootsuite.com/instagram-and-pinterest-get-buy-buttons-what-this-means-for-your-business/

This sound awesome! Does Pinterest charge for the buy it button?

Pinterest doesn't at all but using the shopify platform does have a monthly fee.
